A Healthy Bonus

If health coverage was like our "progressive" tax system, the healthy would have the highest premiums and the sick would receive a copayment each time they went to the doctor.

The rich use less goverenment services than the poor by far. Yet they pay many orders above in taxes. The consolation prize for taxes levied is "Hey, you get to be rich." Or perhaps the pennance for being rich is to pay excess taxes.

Applied to health insurance, those who use the system heavily would pay little or nothing or even be paid. And the healthy would pay huge premiums. The consolation prize? "Hey, you get to be healthy."
